Children and Youth

Together we will explore if contemporary art has something to do with you?

How does my perspective change when I lie on the museum floor? Who is speaking here? Who am I in the museum? Does the museum belong to me?

Our exhibitions and education formats let us observe, speak, and think. They give you space for yourself and your thoughts and questions, surrounded by art. Create and develop other skills with us!

Where does it come from, where does it go? With works of art at the interface with science, a DIY plant station and lemon energy to listen to.

KLICK # Newspaper
Digitally, we dedicate ourselves to the analogue print medium, which has provided information about today/the past and a lot of visual material in contemporary art. Works by artists such as Andy Warhol, On Kawara and Eva von Platen give us ideas on what can be done with this material.

MMK KUNST-ABITUR-KURS, digital

FOR STUDENTS OF THIS YEAR'S A-LEVEL CLASS

You are studying for your oral art A-level exam and have questions, need practice or want to expand your skills and test them in advance? You don't want to study alone, but together with others? In this three-day online intensive course you will review, question and discuss together with other students.

With the help of presentations, discussions, exercises and sample exams, high school graduates, accompanied by two MMK staff members, prepare for the oral A-level exams in terms of content and methodology.

Together, they develop, try out and consolidate ways of viewing and discussing art. In doing so, we follow the curricular guidelines for painting, photography and architecture and select works from the collection as representative examples. The offer can explicitly not replace individual school preparation, but is an additional opportunity to expand one's knowledge through learning in a group.

The MMK KUNST-ABITUR-KURS takes place once a year, shortly before the oral A-level exams.
