MMK mit allen Sinnen

Elizabeth Catlett

The guided tour is included in the entrance fee.

The guided tour MMK mit allen Sinnen with Fabian Korner, cultural scientist and inclusion activist, examines the non-visual moments in the exhibition Elizabeth Catlett in the TOWERMMK. Which aspects of a work are opened up through approaches such as hearing, smelling and touching? What do we learn about an exhibition and the museum as a place? With words from speeches, poems or novels, through the haptic experience of selected sculptures made of bronze and wood as well as through pictorial descriptions, we approach her work, her handling of materials and come to questions of representation and resistance. Fabian Korner will explore these questions together with Katharina Mantel, art mediator, and the participants.

As all offers are subject to 10 participants, we request that you book in advance (Mon-Wed, Fri, 9 am–2 pm) by calling +49 69 21240691 or writing to us at  kunstvermittlung.mmk@stadt-frankfurt.de. To participate without prior booking, please inquire with the cashier. The guided tour is included in the admission fee.
